Cookies & storage

Last updated October 13, 2026

Flipbits uses browser storage to keep sign-in and game features working. Local storage and session storage are stored on your device, much like cookies, but work differently.

Account and security storage

Authentication tokens may be stored in local storage so your session can continue. Temporary registration and verification state is stored in session storage while a sign-in flow is completed. This information is used for authentication and security, not advertising.

Preferences and game state

We store the last sign-in method you used, audio and graphics preferences, camera and interface settings, and temporary pending game actions. Some preferences also sync to your account. Local preferences can remain until you clear them or update them; session storage normally lasts for the browser tab’s session.

Third-party services

Google, Discord, Steam, and Microsoft may set their own cookies when you visit their sign-in pages. Their policies apply to that storage. Our hosting and backend services may also use storage or request information for security and service operation.

The current Flipbits site does not include advertising trackers or a general-purpose visitor analytics SDK. Error reporting may be enabled for failures, as described in the Privacy policy.

Your controls

You can inspect, block, or clear website storage in your browser settings. Clearing storage can sign you out, reset local preferences, or interrupt an unfinished registration. Blocking necessary storage may prevent sign-in or parts of the game from working.
